BELT CONVEYOR

INTRODUCTION:

Belt conveyor is also called conveyor belt and it is the connection between crushers and grinders. Belt conveyor is named according to the material of the conveyor, commonly belt(rubber). Belt conveyor is used for transport materials from previous machine(jaw crusher, cone crusher, impact crusher etc.) to the next machine(maybe crushers,maybe grinding mills). Belt conveyor's important parameter is the width and length of the belt. They determine the capacity and power cost of the belt conveyor.
Belt conveyor is widely used in metallury, mining, coal, building materials, chemicals, power and other industries, and it can be used to transport kinds of massive, granular and other bulk material. It can transport the items too. It uses general fixed belt conveyors. According to the requirement of transporting, it can work single, and also work cooperate with other conveyors. These belt conveyor component can make up a level or inclined conveyor system.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:

Belt conveyor consists of two or more pulleys, with a continous loop of material- the conveyor belt- that rotates about them. One of the pulleys are powered, driving the belt and the material on the belt forward. The powered pulley is called the drive pulley while the other is called the idler. The driven belt transport the material to the other side, mostly the next crushers or mills.
